My daughter, who studied in Heidelberg, Germany to complete her master's degree, has finally come back. That was two years ago during the height of the pandemic. Since we never had the chance to eat out with her since she had left and returned, and as we had been trying to catch up with her by sampling one of the best pizzas and caesar salads that there are in the city, we picked Flour and Water.

Located at the heart of the Valencia corridor, Flour and Water's caesar salad has the most perfect crunchy romaine lettuce there is in the city! The taste of the anchovies are completely incorporated in the freshest leaf yet it appears whole on top of the layers of green mound, intact and silvery as we tried to devour the perfectly salted, "croutoned," and cheesed dish. A soft-bolied egg on the side added to its sublime taste! We also ordered the white beans appetizers with sliced sweet bell pepper to add piquancy to it. For the main entree we shared the pizza margherita. The dough was crisped to perfection; the basil and tomato sauce were just the right combination of salty and soury, and the burrata, soft and heavenly deliciousness.

Needless to say, it was a perfect get-together with my now grown-up daughter!
