Every month or so, we try to troll for much-needed Asian food in the inner Richmond. We would eventually get our fill and stroll lazily along the length of Clement Street. Then, each time, we would always end up at Park LIie, a cute little art and design store and gallery still standing since 2006. It is a perfect place not just to digest mostly Southeast Asian food in our bellies, but also to browse through photography books, paper products, apparel, jewelry, unique watches, house wares and many other fun stuff, that we always end up buying gifts in advance of someone's birthday.

What separates this place from other stores, however, is their choice of contemporary art exhibits located at the back of the store. The owners' taste for quirky, engaging paintings and prints make me want to always peek inside and check out what they have on offer visually.

Local shops like this keep local designers and artists thrive as they continue to be innovative and collaboratively involved.

If you are seeking for paintings, unique gifts, art prints, books, and other objects of art, look no further and head to this trendy but meaningful shop in the Richmond District.
